HABIGANJ, Aug 7, 2025 (BSS) - A youth was killed in a road accident in Noapara area under Madhabpur upazila of the district today.

The deceased was Mozammel Haque, 18, son of Mohibul Islam of the village.

The accident took place around 8.30 am on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway when a bus ran over the youth while he was crossing the road, said Shuvo Ranjan Chakma, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shayestaganj Highway Police Station.

Seriously injured Mozammel was taken to Sadar Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
