BAGERHAT August 6, 2025 (BSS) - A team of Bangladesh Coast Guard arrested two dacoits with firearms from Sundarbans area of Bagerhat district this morning.   

The arrested were identified as Md. Badsha Gazi (45) and Mehedi Hasan (27) of  Paikgachha police station in Khulna district.
 
“ On secret information,  a team of coast Guard arrested two members of the Sundarbans bandit Asabur Bahini.  They were planning for committing robbery” Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Siam-ul-Haq told BSS.           

He said, “We arrested the dacoits with three single-barrel guns, 10 rounds of live cartridges, 5 rounds of blank cartridges and weapon-making equipments.”
