KHULNA, Aug 6, 2025 (BSS) - Administrator of Khulna city Corporation (KCC) and the Divisional Commissioner Md Firoz Sarkar said, "Bangladesh must be reshaped anew. We must stand shoulder to shoulder against all forms of irregularities, corruption, and inequality. There is no alternative to unity if we want to build the Bangladesh that students and citizens once dreamed of."

He made the remarks as the chief guest on the occasion of July Mass Uprising Day, held on Tuesday evening at Shibbari intersection in Khulna city, featuring a reception, remembrance, and open discussion.

The program brought together family members of the martyrs, injured students and citizens, July fighters, political leaders, and other concerned individuals.

Sarkar said, "We are progressing toward a discrimination-free Bangladesh. Seventeen years of irregularities cannot be resolved in just one year. However, we are working diligently to resolve the issues. Your constructive criticism will inspire us to do better. I believe small suggestions from students and July fighters can be effective in solving issues."

Sakib Raihan's father Sheikh Azizur Rahman, City BNP General Secretary Md. Shafiqul Alam Tuhin, and City Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Professor Mahfuzur Rahman, among others, addressed.
