JHENAIDAH, Aug 5, 2025 (BSS) - A man died from snakebite at Mollakua village under kaliganj upazila of the district last night.

The deceased was Hasibul Hasan Joni, 40, son of late Yusuf Ali of the same area.

A venomous snake bit Joni at his house while he was slipping. Later, family members took him to a local ojha. After returning home, Joni slept again. 

Later, when his condition was deteriorated he was taken to Kaliganj Upazila Health Complex.

He died around 7 am on the way to Jashore General Hospital, said Dr. Shishir Kumar, medical officer of Kaliganj Upazila Health Complex.
