CHATTOGRAM, July 3, 2025 (BSS) - Describing school education as beneficial at every stage of life in the future, City Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain said schools not only provide textbook education, but also teach valuable lessons about discipline, punctuality, friendship and fostering a sense of brotherhood. 

“If honesty and patriotism are installed in you, you will help build a corruption free and technologically advanced Bangladesh,” he added.

Dr Shahdat made these remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a reception of SSC students at Ankur Society Girls’ High School today on the city's Nasirabad School premises.

Students who achieved GPA 5 in the 2025 SSC examination were honoured at the ceremony. 

The mayor said, “Today's result is not just a number, it reflects your hard work, confidence and the dedication to your teachers”.

School management committee president Shahidul Alam presided over the function while acting headmaster Kazi Sultana Yasmin was present.

Teacher representative Bilkis Akhter and guardian representative Rashed Kalam also spoke on the occasion.
