SHERPUR, July 13, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has provided cash assistance to the family of fire victim Saidur Rahman in Sherpur.

On behalf of the BNP acting chairman, Sherpur District BNP Joint Convener Md Kamrul Hasan handed over the assistance to Saidur’s family, according to a Facebook post of BNP media cell.

Sherpur Government College Chhatra Dal convener and District Chhatra Dal organising secretary Md Zakir Hossain and Sadar Thana Chhatra Dal joint convener Md Shamim and local BNP leaders were present on the occasion.

A fire broke out in Saidur Rahman's house last Friday night due to an electrical short circuit. The fire spread around the area and his house was completely gutted. All the furniture and belongings in his house were burnt to ashes.
