To mark the day, the national flag will be hoisted atop all government, semi-government, private, and autonomous buildings in the morning and lowered before sunset. Major roads, key intersections, footpaths, and the Circuit House grounds will be decorated with national flags and banners reading Eid Mubarak in both Bengali and Arabic.
As part of Eid festivities, special meals will be provided in hospitals, prisons, government children's homes, Chotomoni Nibash, social disability centres, children development centres, shelter homes, safe homes, and vagrant and destitute welfare centres.
The Islamic Foundation will organize seminars and discussions to highlight the spiritual significance of Eid-ul-Azha.
Law enforcement agencies will ensure tight security in and around the city.
Fireworks, firecrackers, blocking roads with temporary stalls, loud music, beating drums on pickups or trucks, splashing colored water, and reckless motorcycle riding will be strictly prohibited.
Sand-laden bulkhead movements on the river will also be banned. Legal actions will be taken against eve-teasers and miscreants.
Unauthorized cattle markets will not be allowed and legal action will be taken against violators. Setting up makeshift cattle markets beside roads, highways, launch terminals, and educational institutions will also be strictly prohibited. Extortion and illegal toll collection from cattle markets will be penalized.
The administration has urged residents to slaughter sacrificial animals only at designated spots and clean the areas promptly using bleaching powder to prevent pollution, garbage accumulation, and waterlogging.
Owners of business establishments, banks, and financial institutions are instructed to ensure their own security measures. If needed, they may seek support from law enforcement agencies.
Additionally, vigilance teams and mobile courts will operate in cattle markets and at launch, bus, and railway stations. Closed-circuit cameras and check points will be set up at all key locations across the city, the press release added.
