Job fair provides employment to 200 youths in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, May 26, 2022 (BSS) - Over 200 trained youths got jobs in different companies through registration on the spot in the city yesterday.

They got the job in different posts in a day-long job fair hosted by Technical Training Centre (TTC), Rajshahi, at its premises supported by Access to Information (A2I) and UNICEF Bangladesh.

In the fair, 1,284 job seekers submitted curriculum vitae (CV) for different posts in 20 industries.
 
Additional Commissioner of Rajshahi division Moinul Islam attended and addressed the fair as chief guest, while TTC Principal Engineer Emdadul Haque was in the chair.

President of Rajshahi Chamber of Commerce and Industries Masudur Rahman and BSCIC Deputy General Manager Zafar Bayazid also spoke.

Human resource division delegation of the companies gave the appointment letter to the selected candidates after scrutiny of their submitted CV. 
 
In his remarks, Moinul Islam said expansion and promotion of technical and vocational education and training among the youths both male and female is critically important for transforming them into skilled human resources.
 
He attributed technical education to building competent and skilled human resources.
 
He added that the present government under the prudent and visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has attached top priority on technical education.
 
Youth forces have built Digital Bangladesh through e-commerce as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has extended all support to make them appropriate in ICT.
