DHAKA, Aug 12, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh received US$1.389 billion in workers'
remittances during the first 11 days of August 2026, marking a 45.6 percent
increase from the US$954 million received during the corresponding period of
2025.
The country received US$127 million in remittances on August 11 alone.
According to the latest data, total remittance inflow from July 2026 to
August 11, 2026 stood at US$4.247 billion, compared with US$3.432 billion
during the corresponding period of the previous year, registering a 23.8
percent year-on-year growth.
The robust inflow indicates continued strong participation of Bangladeshi
expatriate workers in supporting the country's foreign exchange reserves and
external sector.
