RAKUB branch managers asked to achieve all business targets

RAJSHAHI, July 22, 2026 (BSS) – Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) Managing Director Golam Mortuza today stressed the need to achieve all business targets in the current fiscal year to sustain the bank's profitability.

“The present government aims to build a skilled, robust and inclusive financial management system in the country. It is also committed to bringing banking services to people's doorsteps,” he said.

The RAKUB Managing Director made the remarks while addressing a daylong views-exchange and performance evaluation meeting titled "Formulation and Implementation of Action Plan" for the Rajshahi Zone at Nanking Darbar Hall in the city.

At the meeting, a plan was formulated to disburse loans worth Tk 400 crore to customers in the 2026–27 fiscal year.

Various action plans were also formulated and discussed for implementation to provide better services to farmers, entrepreneurs and environmentally friendly businesses.

General Managers Taj Uddin Ahmed and Mizanur Rahman spoke as special guests, while Zonal Manager Mohabbat Ali Biswas presided over the programme.

Speaking on the formulation and implementation of the action plan, Mohabbat Ali said the bank aims to reduce its classified loans to 10 percent during the current fiscal year.

At the end of the programme, certificates of appreciation were awarded to branch managers for their outstanding performance in various indicators.
