RAJSHAHI, June 20, 2026 (BSS) - A Japanese business delegation today paid a courtesy call on Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton.
 
The meeting was held at the RCC Administrator's office in Nagar Bhaban.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged greetings and discussed education, healthcare, employment, information and technology and possible investment.
 
The RCC Administrator expressed hope to work with Japan for the development of Rajshahi, subject to approval from the appropriate authorities and relevant ministries of the Government of Bangladesh, and in compliance with existing laws and regulations.
 
Both parties expressed optimism about further strengthening mutual communication and cooperation in the future. 

After the meeting, the RCC Administrator gave the Japanese business delegation a tour of the Nagar Bhaban Call Center and Skill Development Center.
 
The Japanese delegation included Japan Group CEO Kawamoto Yasuhiro, General Incorporated Association Hummingbird Representative Director Yuta Shigemori, Sun-Sun Global Agency CEO Hideki Sakakibara and West Okayama Medical Clinic Executive Director & Handson Land CEO Seiji Ishimoto.

They were accompanied by Professor Abu Sayeed of the Marketing Department, University of Rajshahi.
