DHAKA, Sept 17, 2025 (BSS) - The three-day "International Security and Safety Expo-2025" is set to begin here tomorrow, providing a platform for local manufacturers, suppliers, importers, and software and cyber security entrepreneurs to establish business links with representatives of leading international technology companies.
Chief Adviser's Special Assistant on Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb is expected to inaugurate the expo, organised for the first time, on Thursday morning at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital. The event will continue until Saturday, said a press release.
Following the inauguration, a Business-to-Business (B2B) session will be held, bringing together international technology firms with Bangladeshi manufacturers, suppliers, importers, software developers, financial institutions, and cyber security entrepreneurs.
The initiative aims to bridge global innovations with domestic security technology needs, while unlocking new business avenues for emerging entrepreneurs.
A key highlight of the event is the "International Occupational Safety, Health and Fire Expo (IOSHFE)", which will feature cutting-edge solutions including workplace fire-fighting systems, advanced surveillance equipment, smart monitoring tools, health and fire safety technologies, cyber security platforms, personal protective equipment (PPE), CCTV systems, and other safety-related innovations.
Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) President Mohammad Zahirul Islam said, "Bangladesh is undergoing rapid industrialisation, infrastructure expansion, and urbanisation. Upgrading our security systems in tandem with this growth is essential. This expo creates a platform for aligning domestic needs with global solutions, enabling collaboration among top technology companies, policymakers, and experts."
"In the Fourth Industrial Revolution era, technological advancement is accelerating and so are security threats. This expo will help local stakeholders adopt global technologies and prepare for future challenges in safeguarding individuals, institutions, and national assets," said Managing Director of I-Station Limited Madhu Sudan Saha.
