DHAKA, June 1, 2025 (BSS) – The Chinese businessmen are seeing trade potentials in the fields of agriculture, technology, energy, fintech, infrastructures, leather and leather products of Bangladesh.
This was highlighted at a discussion and Business to Business (B2B) between the representatives of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) and the visiting Chinese business delegation held at the FBCCI in the capital today.
During the meeting, the Chinese businessmen showed interest to invest in joint ventures with the Bangladeshi entrepreneurs in the potential sectors of Bangladesh, said an FBCCI press release.
FBCCI Administrator Md Hafizur Rahman, who presided over the meeting, said that Bangladesh is being regarded as an attractive business hub due to industrial diversification and expansion of trade.
He also put emphasis on Public Private Partnership (PPP) initiatives, Free Trade Agreement (FTA), conducting researches, and developing start-up ecosystem.
Chinese business delegation chief and Vice Chairman of China International Chamber of Commerce for the Private Sector (CICCPS) Chiang Chi hoped that this discussion and B2B meeting would play a fruitful role in expanding further trade and commerce between the two countries.
FBCCI supporting committee members Nasrin Fatema Awal, Md Gias Uddin Chowdhury, Prabir Kumar Saha, Belayet Hossain Bhuiyan, and BTMA President Showkat Aziz Russell were present, among others, at the meeting.
