BHOLA, March 23, 2026 (BSS) - A surge of tourists has turned the entertainment and tourism centers across all seven upazilas of Bhola into vibrant hubs of activity during the extended Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.

Visitors of all ages are flocking to the island district, creating lively scenes at popular attractions.

According to local sources, the district hosts around 50 privately owned entertainment centers and resorts. Among the most visited spots are those located along the banks of the Meghna River, including Hilsha Bari and Ilisha Resort in Tulatuli, Tentulia tourist spot in Dighaldi, and Prashanti Park on the banks of the Betua River in Char Fashion.

On Monday, the third day of Eid, large crowds were seen enjoying the natural beauty of the flowing rivers, cool breezes, and a variety of recreational activities. Visitors took part in boat rides, speedboat trips, trawler journeys, horseback riding, and other amusements. 

Tourists Habibi Rahman and Sumaiya, visiting from Dhaka’s Mirpur area, said they spent their Eid holidays exploring various attractions in Tulatuli. “Every place is beautiful and enjoyable,” they shared, expressing satisfaction with their experience.

Young visitors at Prashanti Park in Char Fashion also expressed excitement over horse rides, boat trips, and local food. Meanwhile, college students visiting Meghna Resort in Ilisha highlighted their enjoyable speedboat rides and dining experiences along the riverbanks. 

Many tourists said that while destinations like Kuakata and Cox's Bazar are popular, Bhola offers a unique charm. “The beauty of the flowing river here is no less captivating than the sea,” one visitor remarked.

Visitors from cities including Chattogram, Khulna, and Cumilla praised Bhola’s quiet and refreshing natural environment, describing it as a welcome escape from urban life. 

Business owners also reported a boost in activity. Md. Helal Goldar, director of Hilsha Bari Resort, said visitor turnout this Eid surpassed previous years. Similarly, Md. Mizanur Rahman, owner of Babyland amusement park, said increased profits during the holiday season.

To ensure visitor safety, local authorities have stepped up security measures. Bhola Superintendent of Police Md. Shahidullah Kawsar confirmed that additional police personnel have been deployed across key tourist areas to maintain order and ensure a hassle-free experience for visitors.
