DHAKA, Aug. 5, 2021 (BSS)- The Bangladesh Taekwondo Federation (BTF) today arranged  Sheikh Kamal Smrity Virtual Taekwondo Poomsae competition on the occasion of 72nd birth anniversary of valiant freedom fighter Shaheed Sheikh Kamal, the eldest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

A total of 250 men’s and women’s competitors from ten taekwondo clubs and an equal number of district sports associations took part  in the different categories of the meet.

BTF president Kazi Morshed Hossain Kamal inaugurated the day-long meet as the chief guest. BTF general secretary Mahmudul Islam Rana and other federation’s officials were also present.    

The BTF also chalked out various programmes to mark the day. The day-long programmes included doa mahfil seeking eternal peace of the departed soul, cutting cake and painting competition held at Mohammadpur Taekwondo Club.
