DHAKA, Aug 5, 2021 (BSS)- The Bangladesh Basketball Federation (BBF) observed the 72nd birth anniversary of valiant freedom fighter, sports and cultural personality Shaheed Captain Sheikh Kamal, the eldest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

To mark the day, the BBF paid tribute by placing wreaths on the portrait of Shaheed captain Sheikh Kamal at Abahani Club premise and his grave at Banani graveyard.

The BBF also arranged recitation from the holy Quran, milad and doa-mahfil maintaining social distancing amid the coronavirus pandemic.

BBF president Dr. Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin, BBF vice president Mainul Ahsun Monju, BBF general secretary and South Asian Basketball Federation secretary lieutenant general AK Sarkar (retd.) and other federation’s officials were present on the occasion.
