DHAKA, Sept 10, 2022 (BSS)- Bangladesh U-17 football team's midfielder Sojol
Tripura said they are confident enough and well prepared to face India in the
semifinal.
Bangladesh will take on India in the first semifinal of the SAFF U-17
Championship scheduled to be held on Monday (Sept 12) at Racecourse Ground in
Colombo, Sri Lanka.
"We watched the India's last match against Nepal and find out their strong
and weakness points ... After watching the match, we had a chat with our
coach in this regards yesterday (Friday) evening and during the training
session the coach worked on it with us today ... The players are confident
enough and well prepared to face India." Sojol said through a video message
received here today.
He also wished the Bangladesh women's football team for their commanding 6-0
victory over Pakistan in the SAFF Women's Championship now being held in
Nepal.
Defender Mohammad Ratul said they already played two matches of the
tournament and now they are focusing on their next match against India.
He said they would carry the same performance against India in the semifinal
though the match would not be an easy.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh hold practice session at Kalania Sports Complex ground
this morning.
Earlier, Bangladesh U-17 soccer team got off to a flying start as they
thrashed host Sri Lanka by 5-1 goals their opening group A match and blanked
the Maldives by 5-0 goals to confirmed their spot of semifinal as the group
champions.
