DHAKA, July 28, 2022 (BSS) - The 37th National Badminton Championship
concluded today (Thursday) at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium in the
city, said a press release.

Planning Minister MA Mannan, MP, was the chief guest in the prize
distribution ceremony and distributed the prizes.

Bangladesh Badminton Federation's (BBF) president and Information
Commissioner Dr Abdul Malek presided over the prize distribution ceremony.

On the last day of the competition, Khondokar Abdus Soad of Bangladesh Police
emerged champion in the men's singles event while Mijanur Rahman and Rahatul
Nayem pair of Sylhet District Sports Association emerged champion in the
men's doubles event.

Urmi Akter of Bangladesh Army emerged champion in the women's singles event
while Urmi Akter and Reshma Akter pair of Bangladesh Army emerged champion in
the women's doubles event.

Besides, Al Amin Jhumar and Bristy Khatun of Bangladesh Army emerged champion
in the mixed doubles event.  

A total of 377 shuttlers - 313 of men's and 64 of women's - from 71 teams
took part in the championship, organized by BBF
