KHULNA, Aug 18, 2026 (BSS) - The election to the Executive Committee (EC) of the Khulna District Sports Association (KDSA) will be held on September 12, according to an election schedule issued by Erufa Sultana, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development and Human Resource Management) of Khulna and Election Commissioner for the election.

The election will be held for four vice-presidents, one general secretary, one additional general secretary, two joint secretaries, one treasurer and 13 executive members.

Besides, two executive member posts will be reserved for general secretaries of upazila sports associations and two posts for women.

According to the schedule, objections or applications for correction of the draft voter list will be received from 10 am to 4 pm on August 20 at the office of the Election Commissioner and Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development and Human Resource Management), Khulna.

A hearing on objections to the draft voter list will be held from 10 am to noon on August 23 at the Election Commissioner's office. The final voter list will be published on the notice board of the KDSA at 4 pm on August 24.

Nomination papers, priced at Tk 2,000 each, will be distributed from 10 am to 4 pm on August 30 at the Election Commissioner's office.

Candidates can submit their nomination papers from noon to 4 pm on September 1 at the same office.

The scrutiny of nomination papers will be held from 2 pm to 4 pm on September 3 at the conference room of the Khulna Deputy Commissioner's office.

The draft list of candidates will be published on the notice board of the KDSA at noon on September 4.

Candidates can withdraw their nominations from 10 am to noon on September 6 at the Election Commissioner's office.

The final list of candidates will be published at noon on September 7 on the notice boards of the Khulna Deputy Commissioner's office and the KDSA office.

Voting will be held from 8 am to 4 pm on September 12 at the Khulna District Stadium building.

The votes will be counted and the unofficial results will be announced at the stadium building after voting ends.
