DHAKA, Aug 15, 2026 (BSS)—The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) today organised a Quran recitation and Doa Mahfil marking the 82nd birth anniversary of former three-time Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

The programme was held at the BCB premises. BCB Director and Women’s Wing Chairman Rafiqul Islam Babu and BCB Director and Age Group Talent Hunt Chairman Minhajul Abedin Nannu attended the event.

Senior BCB officials, employees from different departments and local madrasa scholars took part in the Quran recitation, doa and milad mahfil.

Special prayers were offered, seeking eternal peace for the former successful Prime Minister and for the overall welfare and good health of her family.

Following the programme, food was distributed among orphaned children from two local madrasas.
