DHAKA, Aug 14, 2026 (BSS)-Bangladesh women's club champions Rajshahi Stars will depart for Malaysia tomorrow (Saturday) to take part in the AFC Women's Champions League with a hope to achieve success in their debut competition.
Prior to the team’s departure, a press conference was held today (Friday) at the conference room of Bangladesh Football Federation where the team disclosed the goal and expectation in the competition.
Rajshahi Stars head coach Golam Robbani Choton and captain Sheuli Azim both expressed their thought of doing well in the competition.
Team head coach Golam Robbani Choton said during the training session focus was given on the players' preparation and performance and he hoped that his girls would give their best in every match.
Team’s captain Sheuli Azim said every player shared the same goal — to perform well on the field and help the team achieve success.
The preliminary stage of the AFC Women’s League will be held in Malaysia from August 17-23.
Drawn in Group A, Rajshahi Stars will face India's East Bengal, hosts Sabah FA and Guam's Rovers FC.
