DHAKA, July 23, 2026 (BSS)- International Master Mohammad Fahad Rahman of Bangladesh made a winning start by defeating Woman FIDE Master Aiaru Altynbek of Kazakhstan in the first round of the Oskemen Open 2026 Masters Chess Tournament now being held in Oskemen, Kazakhstan.

The tournament is being played over nine rounds in the Swiss system and has attracted seventy seven players from fifteen countries, including twenty two Grandmasters, one Woman Grandmaster, and twenty nine International Masters.
