DHAKA, June 20, 2026 (BSS) – The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) today announced a 14-member Bangladesh Combined School squad for the inaugural Aitchison International Inter-School Cricket Tournament to be held in Lahore, Pakistan.
The tournament is being organized as part of the 140th anniversary celebrations of Aitchison College and will run from June 20 to 28.
The BCB selected 14 promising young cricketers who impressed in school-level competitions to represent Bangladesh in the prestigious international event. The players took part in an official photo session at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur today before their departure.
Besides Bangladesh, the tournament will feature Combined Schools teams from the United Arab Emirates as well as host institutions from Pakistan, including Aitchison College, Government Muslim Model High School, The City School, Beaconhouse School System and Habib Public School.
Bangladesh will begin their campaign against Aitchison College on June 22 before taking on Habib Public School the following day. Their final group-stage match will be against Government Muslim Model High School.
The semifinals are scheduled for June 26, while the final will be held on June 28.
The tournament is expected to provide valuable international exposure to young cricketers and strengthen sporting ties among participating nations through school cricket.
