DHAKA, June 2, 2026 (BSS)-The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Basana Azim, mother of Bangladesh national women’s football team’s player Sheuli Azim, said a BFF press release.

Basana Azim passed away today (Tuesday) morning  due to Kidney  complication at the age of 45.  She left behind three sons, two daughters and host of well wishers to mourn her death. 

In a condolence message, BFF president Tabith Awal along with the senior vice president, vice presidents, executive committee members, general secretary, all standing committees and officials, and staffs of BFF, expressed their deepest condolences at the death of  Basana Azim and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
