DHAKA, April 5, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh leg-spinner Rishad Hossain continued a subdued performance in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) as his team Rawalpindi suffered third straight defeat in the tournament by tasting a seven-wicket defeat to Islamabad United at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.
Put into bat first, Rishad’s team Rawalpindi managed to put up just 156-7, with Kamran Ghulam playing a 39 ball-50 runs knock.
Ghulam’s knock, studded by six fours and two sixes, was instrumental in steadying the innings after a shaky start. Dian Forrester than hammered a 19 ball-44 with two fours and four sixes, guiding the side past 150-run mark.
Islamabad United, however, made a mockery with the Rawalpindi’s total, reaching the winning target in just 14.3 overs.
Sameer Minhas hastened the victory by smashing a 36 bal-70 runs knock which was laced with seven fours and four sixes.
Minhas came down heavily on all Rawalpindi bowlers, including Rishad to help the side get over the line with incredible ease.
Rishad, however, conceded 36 runs in three overs to take just one wicket.
So far, in three matches in the PSL, Rishad grabbed just two wickets, conceding runs 12 per over.
