DHAKA, April 1, 2026 (BSS)-State Minister for Youth and Sports Md Aminul 
Haque today has congratulated the Bangladesh U-20 football team for reaching 
final of the SAFF U-20 Championship.

He highly praised the team's fighting performance in the semi-final against 
Nepal and Manik's winning goal in the 10th minute. 

The State Minister expressed his opinion that this great fight on the field 
has made the entire nation proud.

Aminul further said that the discipline and strong desire to win of 
Bangladeshi youth on foreign soil indicates a bright future for the country's 
football. 

He also hoped that the players would continue this winning streak and further 
enhance the country's prestige in the international arena.

Expressing deep confidence in winning the final battle, the State Minister 
said: "Our footballers will achieve the crown of excellence and return home 
with the title."

Bangladesh beat Nepal by 1-0 goal in the first semifinal held at National 
Football Stadium in capital Male, Maldives today (Wednesday).
