DHAKA, March 9, 2026 (BSS)- SSPL Int'l FIDE Rating Chess tournament begins at 
the hall-room of the Bangladesh Chess Federation tomorrow (Tuesday).

The tournament, which will be held under the patronage of Swapno Shohor 
Properties Limited in association with the Bangladesh Chess Federation, is 
open to all chess players.

The competition will be held in a nine-round Swiss League format in 
accordance with standard international tournament regulations.
 
The tournament will feature a total prize fund of Taka four lakh. The 
champion will receive Taka one lakh, the runner-up will have Taka 60 thousand 
and the Third-place winner will get Taka 40 thousand.

This event has 16 main prizes as well as eight different category prizes for 
the eligible participants.
