DHAKA, March 8, 2026 (BSS) - Opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim struck a brilliant
century as BCB XI cruised to a 40-run victory over BCB All Stars in a warm-up
game at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

The national players and other players in the core group who have the
potential to make their way into the national team played the match, split
into two teams, as part of the preparation for Bangladesh's three-match ODI
series against Pakistan.

Opting to bat first, BCB XI compiled a respectable 295-8 with Tanzid leading
the way. The opener hammered 101 ball-100 with six fours and four sixes to
play a vital role in pushing the side closer to 300-run mark.

He was dismissed by left-arm spinner Tanvir Islam just after reaching his
century. Liton Das scored 44 while Najmul Hossain Shanto added 40.
Skipper Mehidy Hasan Miraz played a fluent 15 ball-24 runs knock to boost the
scoreboard.

Leg-spinner Rishad Hossain claimed 5-40 to rip through BCB All Stars who
eventually managed to put up 255-9.

BCB All Stars made a solid start, thanks to opener Jishan Alam and Naim
Sheikh, who added 100 runs in 20 overs.

But once Rishad Hossain broke the partnership by dismissing Jishan for 50,
BCB All Stars started losing wickets at regular intervals and eventually fell
well short.

Abdul Gaffar Saqlain was the other notable scorer with 49 while Naim Sheikh
contributed 40.
