DHAKA, Feb 27, 2026 (BSS)-Bangladesh women's national football team continued
their preparations in Sydney following the recent closed-door match against
the Western Sydney Wanderers FC.
Team's assistant coach Mahmuda Akter Annoa through a video message today
(Friday) said players are enjoying their training session. "All are doing
well in the training ... The local weather condition is mixed with sunny and
steady rain but girls are trying to adapt the local weather condition. There
is no any big injury in the team ... Physio are trying to on the minor
injuries which hoped to fine before the match," she added.
Today marked the team's fifth training session since arriving in Sydney and
their first session at the official training ground allocated by the AFC.
The squad departed from Valentine Sports Park (VSP) at 7:30am and commenced
training at Jubilee Stadium at 9:00am, she said, adding, "Despite steady rain
and cool conditions across Sydney since Thursday and this morning, the team
maintained high intensity throughout the one hour and 30-minute session."
Training began with warm-up routines, followed by technical drills and
possession-based exercises, before concluding with a competitive 20-minute
11v11 match among themselves, she continued.
The medical team has confirmed that there are no serious injuries within the
squad, with all players fully committed and working diligently in preparation
for the upcoming fixture against China PR on March 3.
Following the session, the team checked into the AFC allocated hotel in
Parramatta, Sydney. There will be no gym session scheduled for this
afternoon, allowing players additional recovery time.
The team will resume training tomorrow (Saturday) at Jubilee Stadium from
9:00am to 11:00am as preparations continue, the Team's assistant coach
concluded.
