DHAKA, Feb 24, 2026 (BSS) - The semifinal of the final phase of Spectrum 
Bangladesh National Cup Chess held at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall room 
today (Tuesday).

In the first game of semifinal, FIDE Master Tahsin Tajwar Zia defeated 
International Master Mohammad Fahad Rahman. FM Tahsin played with the white 
pieces, IM Fahad adopted the King's Indian Defense. FM Tahsin secured victory 
after 42 moves. 

International Master Manon Reja Neer split point with International Master Md 
Minhaz Uddin. Minhaz played with the black pieces, also choosing the King's 
Indian Defense. The game ended in a draw after 43 moves. 

The second games of the semifinals will be held tomorrow (Wednesday) with 
Mohammad Fahad Rahman (White) take on Tahsin Tajwar Zia (Black) and Md Minhaz 
Uddin (White) face Manon Reja Neer.
