DHAKA, Feb 7, 2026 (BSS) - As many as 50 Bangladeshi cricketers have 
officially registered for the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League 
(PSL), which will shift from a draft system to an auction model for the first 
time in its history.

The number of Bangladeshi players is the third highest among overseas 
participants, behind Australia and the West Indies. A total of 60 Australian 
and 57 Caribbean players have registered for the auction, scheduled to be 
held on February 11.

Mustafizur Rahman, however, is the only Bangladeshi cricketer among the six 
direct signings after Lahore Qalandars confirmed his inclusion.

All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, veteran wicketkeeper-batter Mushfiqur Rahim, and 
Zakir Hasan are the three Bangladeshi players listed with a base price of PKR 
2.20 crore, the highest among players from the country.

T20I captain Liton Das, ODI skipper Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Test captain Najmul 
Hossain Shanto, Towhid Hridoy, pacer Taskin Ahmed, and Shoriful Islam have 
been placed in the PKR 1.10 crore categories.

The PKR 60 lakh category features players such as Naim Sheikh, Sabbir Rahman, 
Akbar Ali, Aliss Al Islam, along with several uncapped cricketers.

Among other overseas registrations, Sri Lanka has 47 players, followed by the 
UAE with 37, Afghanistan with 36, England with 35, South Africa with 33, and 
New Zealand with 32. The United States has 20 registrations, Ireland 13, 
Zimbabwe 11, and Belgium 10.
 
Both Nepal and the Netherlands have nine players registered each, while Italy 
has eight, Oman six, and Namibia and Canada five each. 

Additionally, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Malawi, and Rwanda have two players 
registered apiece.
