DHAKA, Jan 12, 2026 (BSS) - Young pacer Abdul Gaffar Saqlain claimed his
career-best 4-24 as Rajshahi Warriors kept them in favourable position by
bowling out Dhaka Capitals for 131 in 20 overs in a crucial Bangladesh
Premier League (BPL) game today at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
After electing to bat first, Dhaka made a high flying start. Thanked to Usman
Khan who along with his fellow opener Abdullah Al Mamun shared 54 runs for
the opening stand.
Usman dominated the partnership by scoring team-best 27 ball-41, a knock
featured with five fours and two sixes.
Gaffar broke through with the wicket of Usman and followed it up by sending
back Saif Hasan for a duck in his immediate next delivery.
The two wickets in consecutive deliveries triggered a collapse that was tough
to gauge for Dhaka eventually.
Ripon Mondol who finished with 3-30 joined Gaffar to further rip through
Dhaka batting line up, forcing them to lose wickets at regular intervals.
Nasir Hossain was the other notable scorer with 24 and was key in taking the
side past the 100-run mark.
