DHAKA, Dec 21, 2025 (BSS) – Bangladesh team won a total of 11 medals, including one gold, six bronzes, and four technical awards at the 27th International Robot Olympiad held from December 17 to 20 at the Mantra Southport Sharks Convention Centre in Gold Coast, Australia.
The medals were handed over to the winners at the closing ceremony of the Olympiad today, said an official handout said here.
Chief Adviser’s Special Assistant Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Ministry, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division Secretary Shish Haider Chowdhury and ICT Department Director General Md. Abu Sayed congratulated the Bangladesh team on their success.
On behalf of Bangladesh, Mohammad Abdullah Al Titu, a student of Ananda Mohan College, won the gold medal in the Senior Group of the Creative Category at the Olympiad.
Bronze medals winners are : Nusaiba Tazrin Tanishaa, a student of YWCA Higher Secondary Girls’ School, in the Senior Group of the Creative Movie Category; Zubaidah Jafrin, a student of Mohammadpur Preparatory School and College, in the Junior Low Group of Physical Computing; Ridowan Rabbani, a student of Ideal School and College, in the Junior High Group of Physical Computing; Nusaiyba Tazrin Tanishaa of YWCA Higher Secondary Girls’ School in the Senior Group of Physical Computing; Khondkar Mushfiqur Islam of Dhaka Residential Model College and Priyanti Das of Scholastica School in the Senior Group of the Creative Category.
Technical medals were achieved by Mohammad Zarif Bin Salek of Dhaka Residential Model College and Nafiya Basar Suhani of Mohammadpur Preparatory School and College in the Senior Group of Physical Computing; Zaima Jahin Wara of William Carey Academy in the Senior Group of the Creative Category; and Priyanti Das of Scholastica School in the Senior Group of the Creative Movie Category.
Overall sponsorship for the participation of the Bangladesh team in this international competition was provided by the ICT Division and the Department of ICT.
Since 2018, Bangladesh has been participating in this competition. Over the past 8 years, the Bangladesh team has won a total of 94 medals at the International Robot Olympiad, including 15 gold medals. This time, a 10-member team from Bangladesh took part in this international robotics festival.
