DHAKA, Dec 18, 2025 (BSS)—The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) today announced the schedule of the Dhaka First Division Cricket League which resumes tomorrow (Sunday) with 12 clubs after eight clubs got relegated following walkovers in the first round.
Partex Sporting Club, Gazi Tyres Cricket Academy, Kalabagan Krira Chakra, Amber Sporting Club, Khelaghar Samaj Kallyan Samity, Orient Sporting Club, Kakrail Boys Club and Surjotorun Club were the eight clubs who didn’t show up in their scheduled matches.
The Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM) started the league with 20 clubs on December 14 but only three of 10 matches were played in two match days with the rest seeing walkovers.
The CCDM then sat with the 12 remaining clubs to discuss a revised fixture.
“There are some changes and the number of matches is reduced after eight clubs were relegated following no show up,” CCDM Chairman Adnan Rahman Dipon told the reporters.
“After the elaborate discussion with 12 clubs, we have decided to restart the league on December 21.”
As per the new schedule, three matches will be held everyday with 12 teams splitting into two groups.
Bangladesh Police Cricket Club, Lalmatia Club, Dhanmondi Sports Club, Old DOHS Sports Club, Dhaka United and Baridhara Dazzlers are pitted in Group A. The Group B formed with Shinepukur Cricket Club, Uttara Cricket Club, Sk. Jamal Cricketer, Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club, Tri State Cricketers and Bangladesh Krirar Shikkha Prothisthan (BKSP).
Dhaka United will take on Baridhara Dazzlers, Uttara Cricket Club face off Tri State Cricketers and Sk. Jamal Cricketers will lock horns with Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club in the day’s three matches tomorrow.
