DHAKA, Dec 15, 2025 (BSS) - The Kushtia district handball league has begun at Kushtia Government College ground today (Monday). 

The league began with a rally, which was jointly inaugurated by Kushtia's additional deputy commissioner, Md Jahangir Alam, and district league coordinator and joint member secretary, Sayeed Ahmed.

On the opening day, Kushtia Zilla school handball team beat Khelaghar Krira Sangha by 14-4 goals, Bahirmadi Sports defeated Durbachora Brothers by 11-3 goals and Surjashena Club outclassed Khelaghar Krira Sangha by 13-3 goals.

A total of eight teams, split into two groups, are participating in the league, organized by Kushtia District Sports Association and sponsored by Moushumi Industries Limited.
