DHAKA, Dec 13, 2025 (BSS)-The Bangladesh Hockey Federation has decided to give a warm reception to the U-21 Youth hockey team and the Bangladesh Under-18 women's hockey team for their successes in the recently held two major tournaments. 

The day-long reception ceremony will be held on Monday (Dec 15) at Shaheen Dwip of the Air Force's Kurmitola base in the capital.

Bangladesh U-21 hockey team won the challenger trophy of FIH Hockey Men's Junior World Cup beating Austria by 5-4 goals in the place-deciding match (17th, 18th) held in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India this month. 

Bangladesh Under-18 women's hockey team earned a historic bronze medal in their debut appearance at the U-18 Women's Asia Cup 2025, held in Dazhou, China. In the third-place decider Bangladesh outclassed Kazakhstan with a commanding 6-2 victory to win the bronze medal.
