DINAJPUR, Dec 6, 2025 (BSS) - Abdul Riyad Fahim, a young footballer hailing from the northern district of Dinajpur, dreams of playing for the national football team in the future.

The young booter has recently come into the limelight by showing impressive performance in the Bangladesh Under-17 national football team. His impressive performance has created a wave of joy not only for his family, but also for the locals in his community.

Fahim, a tenth grader of Alokdihi Jan-Baksha High School in Chirirbandar upazila, was also formally accorded in his school last for his impressive performance.

Fahim has been interested in football since his childhood. It is because of this interest, he wanted football to be a part of his life. He used to dream of wearing the national team jersey. Today, his dream partially comes true.

He now wants to work harder so that one day he can play for the national team and bring honor for the country.

Talking to BSS, Fahim said that among all the types of sports, football is a popular game. Spectators enjoy this game and get a lot of pleasure from football. This is why his interest in playing football has grown up.

He said the opportunity of playing for the U-17 national football team was the big achievement in his life. He also expressed his gratitude to his teachers, coaches and family for this achievement.

The young footballer also expressed his desire to achieve success at the international level by playing good brand of football for the country in the future.

Fahim's headmaster, Md. Abdul Hai, said: "Fahim's success is a matter of pride for our school. He believes that Fahim has raised the glory of this educational institution and would bring more success in the future."

Fahim was very interested in football since his childhood. He turned himself into a skilled footballer through regular practice and hard work, he added.

Fahim's school teachers informed that he is an equally skilled player in the field of play and a good student in the classroom as well. As a result of his talent and hard work, he has now been able to play at the national level of U-17 football team.

Fahim's parents are also very happy with their son's success. His father, Md. Abdul Majid, said: "Our son was interested in football since his childhood. He worked hard regularly to become a good footballer ...by the grace of Allah, today he has got the opportunity to play for the U-17 national team. As parents of him (Fahim), we are praying for our son so that he can achieve more success in the future."
