DHAKA, Nov 29, 2025 (BSS)- Fakirerpool Young Men's Club tasted their first win in the Bangladesh Football League (BFL) when they shocked holders Mohammedan Sporting Club by 2-0 goals held at Shaheed Miraj-Tapan Stadium in Manikganj today.

After the cagey and barren first half, the match busted into life in the second half. Forward Irfan Hossain broke the deadlock scoring the first goal in the 47th minute and Ivorian forward Ouattara Ben Ibrahim scored the second goal in the 61st minute of the match.

Mohammedan however tried their best to stage a fight back in the match but they could not score any in the remaining proceeding. 

With this win, Fakirerpool raised their tally with four points from four matches while the traditional black and white Motijheel outfit Mohammedan remained at their previous collection of four points playing the same number of matches.

Fakirerpool will play their next match against Bangladesh Police Football Club on December 6 while Mohammedan Sporting Club meet PWD Sports Club on the same day.
