DHAKA, Oct 28, 2025 (BSS)-The Bangladesh Cricket Board has received the Independent Inquiry Committee's final report on integrity matters pertaining to the BPL 2024-25 season (11th Edition). 

"The Committee's work was independent and evidence-based. We thank the respected members for their efforts and service," the BCB said in a press release today.

The Report, spanning around 900 pages, addresses concerns related to corrupt practices, operational gaps and sets out a comprehensive roadmap for reform, including legislative proposals, institutional restructuring, franchise compliance mechanisms, enhanced player protections, improved risk monitoring, and a strengthened public communications framework, the release added.

The BCB said that they won't comment on specific allegations or disclose any details of the report at this stage to protect the integrity of ongoing and potential proceedings.

"Consistent with due process, the Board will consider the Committee's recommendations and undertake further inquiries where appropriate, in coordination with relevant authorities and, where applicable, international partners as per the ICC Anti-Corruption Code," the release said further. 

The BCB has established an independent integrity unit named Bangladesh Cricket Board Integrity Unit (BCBIU) headed by an independent chairman. 

"The BCB is committed to transparent, rules-based reform and to protecting players, officials, and fans. Further updates will be communicated through official channels in due course when appropriate," it added.
