DHAKA, Sept 23, 2025 (BSS)—The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) today announced the draft voters’ list as the highly anticipated board of directors’ election scheduled to be held on October 6.
According to the previous schedule, the final voter list was supposed to be announced on September 25. After a revised scheduled, it will now be announced on September 26, a BCB press release said here.
According to the new schedule, nominations will be distributed only on September 27. Nominations will be submitted on September 28 as before. And the final list will be published on September 29 after the nominations are verified.
After that, candidates will be able to withdraw their nominations on October 1 and the final list of candidates will also be announced on the same day.
The election results will be published at 6:00 pm on September 6.
At the same day, the president and vice-president elections will be held at 7:30 pm. The results of the president and vice-president elections will be announced at 9:00 pm.
Incumbent BCB President Aminul Islam Bulbul and former skipper Tamim Iqbal had already announced their candidacy in the BCB elections.
Many other heavyweight candidates will participate in the BCB elections.
Meanwhile, Aminul Islam Bulbul has taken the councillorship from Dhaka Divisional Sports Association while Tamim from Old DOHS club.
Former BCB President Faruk Ahmed has obtained councillorship from Rangers Cricket Academy.
Former players nominated through BCB include Javed Omar Belim, Minhajul Abedin Nannu, Mohammad Ehsanul Haque, Mohammad Ali Khan, Khaled Masud Pilot and Mohammad Hasibul Hossain Shanto.
Former cricketers in the voter list are Gazi Ashraf Hossain Lipu, Mohammad Shafiqul Haque, Roquibul Hasan, Mohammad Ashraful and Habibul Bashar Sumon. Musician Asif Akbar has become a voter from Comilla District Sports Association.
