DHAKA, Sept 17, 2025 (BSS)-Considering the overall situation, the Bangladesh
Olympic Association (BOA) has decided to organize the 10th Bangladesh Games
in November/December next year, subjected to government approval.
The decision has been taken at a BOA executive committee's meeting held at
Dhaka cantonment army multipurpose complex today (Wednesday).
BOA president and Army chief Waker-Uz-Zaman presided over the meeting.
The BOA decided to send nineteen players from Bangladesh in six disciplines
to the 6th Asian Beach Games to be held in Sanya, China from April 22-30 next
year.
The BOA has also taken decision to finalize the disciplines and number of
players after discussing with the relevant federations to send a team from
Bangladesh to the 20th Asian Games to be held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan from
September 19 to October 4 next year.
The meeting took decision to provide a job for the wife of the late
Grandmaster Ziaur Rahman to ensure solvency of his family.
In the meeting, it has been decided to hold a special general meeting in mid
October to approve the proposed constitution of the BOA.
A decision on organizing the upcoming elections for the BOA executive
committee will be taken at the next special general meeting.
Some other decisions were also taken in the meeting.
