DHAKA, Dec 1, 2021 (BSS)- Sunrisers Football Academy, Brahmanbaria and
Bhairab Football Academy, Kishorganj stormed into the final of Bashundhara
Kings BFSF U-14 Academy Cup eliminating their respective rivals in the
semifinals held today (Wednesday) at outer stadium adjoining the Bangabandhu
National Stadium in the city's Paltan.

     The title-deciding final match between the two sides will be held on
Friday (Dec 3) at the same venue at 6 pm, following the place-deciding match
between Football Academy Derai and Chhagalnaiya Football Academy that begins
at 3 pm.

     Meanwhile, in the day's first semifinal, Sunrisers Football Academy
edged past Football Academy Derai, Sunamganj by a solitary goal scored by
Sajedul Islam Emon. He was later named the player of the match for his
impressive performance.

     Earlier, Sunrisers Football Academy split point with Abdul Hamid
Football Academy playing to a goalless draw in their first match and ensured
their semifinal birth after crushing Mohammedan Football Academy by 4-0 goals
in their second match.

     In the day's second keenly contested semifinal match, Bhairab Football
Academy, Kishorganj defeated Chhagalnaiya Football Academy, Feni by 4-3 goals
in penalty shootout after the regulation time ended in a 1-1 goal draw.

     Bhairab custodian Tareq was named the player of the match for as he
foiled three goals attempt of Chhagalnaiya Football Academy under the bar.

     Earlier, Bhairab Football Academy played out to a 2-2 goal draw with
Epyllion Football Academy in their first match and ensured their last four
spot defeating SFCA Football Coaching by 3-2 goals in their second match.

     Sponsored by Bashundhara Kings, twelve football academy teams, split
into four groups, are taking part in the meet, which is being held by the
cooperation of National Sports Council and Bangladesh Football Federation.
