DHAKA, Sept 4, 2025 (BSS)- Bangladesh T20 captain Liton Das insisted that
they are quite ready to face any kind of challenge in the upcoming Asia Cup
after getting a quality preparation.

He hailed the camp in Sylhet as "I have never seen such a good camp" and also
was elated to get match time ahead of the Asia Cup by playing a T20 series
against Netherlands.

"I believe we are now well prepared for the Asia Cup. The Sylhet camp has
been quite an experience," Liton told the reporters in Sylhet after the third
and final T20 against Netherlands that was called off due to heavy rain.

"The camp that we did was not just for the Netherlands series, but also to
make sure that we get a good preparation for the Asia Cup."

Liton, however, explained the reason as to why Sylhet was important for the
Asia Cup preparation.

"Fitness can be done in Mirpur, but the kind of practice we wanted to do was
only possible in Sylhet," he said without elaborating.

"So I feel, overall, this journey was really good for us. It gave us ample
opportunity to take a quality preparation and boost us psychologically."

Bangladesh won the three-match T20 series against Netherlands by 2-0 after
winning the first match by eight wickets and second one by nine wickets. The
third T20 was washed out due to rain after Bangladesh reached 164-4 in 18.2
overs.

The hosts faced a challenge rarely in the series. But Liton termed the series
as near perfect.

"Overall, I felt everything was going right and everything was quite
positive," Liton said about the Dutch series.

"I know it would have been better had more batters got a chance to bat, but
the important thing is we won convincingly in the first two games. That's a
good sign heading into a big event," he opined.

Whoever got the chance to play a match played good cricket, said Liton.

"Only Saifuddin didn't get a chance but everyone else got the opportunity to
play at least one match," he noted.

"I think practice is important, but even more important is how much you can
deliver in matches. Playing matches will improve you, increase your game
sense."
