DHAKA, Sept 4, 2025 (BSS) - The 8th National Kho Kho Championship for men and women, marking the Festival of Youth, will begin tomorrow at Paltan Ground in Dhaka.

Youth and Sports Secretary Mahbub-Ul Alam is expected to inaugurate the three-day tournament as the chief guest, according to a press release. 

The event is organized by the Bangladesh Kho Kho Federation and sponsored by Mercantile Bank Limited, with Biman Bangladesh Airlines as co-sponsor.

AHM Ziaul Haque, president of the Bangladesh Kho Kho Federation, will preside over the opening ceremony.

The championship final is scheduled for September 7, when Aminul Islam, executive director (joint secretary) of the National Sports Council, is expected to distribute prizes to the winners. 

The prize-giving ceremony will be presided over by Federation president AHM Ziaul Haque.

Tournament committee's chairman engineer Abdul Muktadir Belal, member secretary Motiur Rahman Babul and federation's general secretary Mir Kaiser Sadik will also present there.
