DHAKA, Sept 2, 2025 (BSS)-Bangladesh U-23 football team assistant coach Hasan Al Mamun said his boys are fully prepared to make positive start against host Vietnam in the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers.
“In the last one month this team has been taking good preparation in Dhaka and Bahrain, this team has also taken two days preparation in Vietnam for the tournament … overall our boys are ready to do something good in the tournament,” said Mamun through a video message today (Tuesday).
He said the boys are going to participate in the tournament with a high hope having their confidence level high and they want to do something good for the country and also give something to the nation, he added.
Midfielder Sheikh Morsalin is also found determined to give their best in the tournament.
“We have been taking preparation for the tournament in the last one month ….. we are mentally prepared for the first match as we have worked hard and we’ll utmost try to give our level best for the match,” he said.
Meanwhile, A Bangladesh Football Federation press release added that Bangladesh U-23 national football team completed their third training session before the first match against Vietnam. The players remain in excellent spirits, displaying strong performances while maintaining full focus on their preparations.
Ahead of the Bangladesh’s opening fixture, the team today underwent an intensive tactical session and worded with set pieces and finishing.
Fahamedul Islam joined the squad today, although he did not participate in the training. All players are reported to be in good condition and fit to play.
But unfortunately, head coach AKM Saiful Bari Titu has been unwell with fever and in his absence, assistant coach Hasan Al Mamun led the team’s training session.
Bangladesh U-23 will play their first match of the AFC U-23 Asian Cup Qualifiers against the Vietnam U-23 National Football Team scheduled to be held at Việt Trì Stadium tomorrow (Wednesday) at 6 PM Bangladesh time.
