DHAKA, Aug 29, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh U-17 women's football team will face host Bhutan in their return match of the four-nation SAFF U-17 Women's Championship scheduled at Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu today (Friday).
The match kicks off at 3 pm Bangladesh time. India will meet Nepal in the second match of the day's fixture at 6 pm at the same venue.
Bangladesh stood second in the league table with nine points from four matches, while Bhutan failed to open their account after the same number of matches. India are dominating the table with a maximum of twelve points from four outings, maintaining their all-win record. Nepal are third with three points.
Earlier, Bangladesh made a winning start in the tournament by beating host Bhutan 3-1, but lost to India 2-0. The girls in red and green, however, returned to winning ways by defeating Nepal 3-0 and again 4-1 in the return match.
On the other hand, Bhutan lost all their four matches so far. They lost 3-1 to Bangladesh, 2-1 to Nepal, 8-0 to India, and again 5-0 to India, eliminating them from the competition race.
