DHAKA, Aug 26, 2025 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Boys Under-15 team continued their unbeaten run by defeating the Women's team once again in the Women's Challenge Cup at BKSP-3 ground today.
Unlike their previous three comfortable victories, the U15 side faced a tough contest this time, with the match ultimately decided in a Super Over.
Women's Team Green aimed to claim their first win over the U15 boys, but the match ended in a tie after Green batters failed to score the required run off the final ball.
Needing five runs to win, Rabyea Khan scored two off the first ball from Afridi Tariq, played a dot on the second, and was dismissed on the third.
Sultana Khatun followed with a dot and then two runs on the fifth ball to level the score, but Afridi Tariq stumped her on the final delivery, leaving the match tied.
In the Super Over, Women's Green managed only four runs while losing two wickets. The U15 team chased down the target in just two balls, with Bayezid Bostami finishing the match with a towering six.
Earlier, U15 had posted 185-6, with Afzal Hossain scoring an unbeaten 67 and Afridi Tariq contributing 50. Green, who had suffered a heavy defeat against the same opponents in the first leg, fought hard but fell short again.
As part of preparations for the upcoming ICC Women's World Cup, the national Women's team has split into Green and Red squads, with the U15 boys participating in the tournament.
