DHAKA, Aug 20, 2025 (BSS)—The Bangladesh Men’s Under-15 team thrashed Bangladesh Women’s Team Red by 87 runs in the second match of the Women’s Challenge Cup today at BKSP-3 ground.
A total of three teams are taking part in the tournament as part of the national Women’s team’s preparation for the upcoming ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup. Bangladesh Women’s Team Green is the other team of the tournament.
Red which beat Green Team by 32 runs in the previous match couldn’t put up any resistance against the Men’s youngsters.
Being sent to bat first, Boys U15 amassed 181-8 in 50 overs and thereafter bowled Women’s Red for just 94 in 38 overs.
Captain Bayzid Bostami led the charge with 46 while Afzal Hossain made 44.
Alimul Islam Adib claimed 3-12 and was well complemented by Afridi Tariq and Abdul Aziz who both took two wickets apiece as U15 bowlers wrecked havoc on Women’s Red.
Only four Women’s batters could reach double digits with opener Sarmin Sultana making highest 20.
