DHAKA, Aug 18, 2025 (BSS)– The Bangladesh U-17 Women’s football team have continued their rigorous training at Changlimithang Stadium, Thimphu, the main venue of the tournament.
Bangladesh U-19 women’s football team coach Emran Hsan Emon said the team is now in a good shape at the moment and the girls are quite confident to make a good result in the tournament.
“First of all I want to thank Bangladesh Football Federation for sending the team in Bhutan few days before the tournament …. the girls have almost adjusted with the local weather and they are prepared to reflect their performance in the game,” said Emon through a message today (Monday).
It was also a good training session, the girls worked on the area were they had a problem during the training and it was overall a good training on the day, he added.
Ishita Tripura said though the day’s training session was good, but they are having trouble to adjust with the local weather. The team’s condition is good and they are working hard in the training session.
Replying to a question Ishita said their aim is to become champion in the tournament.
Bangladesh will start their SAFF campaign taking on Bhutan on August 20 and face India on August 22.
Bangladesh will then play against Nepal on August 24 and 27, Bhutan on August 29 and India on August 31.
All the matches will be held at Changlimithang Stadium, Thimphu.
