DHAKA, Aug 14, 2025 (BSS) - Opener Anamul Haque Bijoy is likely to get another chance to prove his credential as the team management mulls to include him in the Bangladesh A to play a four-day game against South Australia.

Bangladesh A are currently on Australia tour where they are playing Top End T20 series in Darwin.

After the tournament, the second string Bangladesh side will play the four-day game from August 28-31. The match is seen as preparation platform for Bangladesh's next year's Test series in Australia.

Bijoy had recently made a comeback to the Test fold after a quite long time following an excellent domestic season. But his comeback was marred by poor performance that saw him accumulated only 62 runs in five innings of three Test matches.

However, still the selectors kept faith on him. Bijoy and five other cricketers-- Iftekhar Hossain, Amite Hasan, Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Shahadat Hossain Dipu and Hasan Murad-will leave for Australia in two separate groups on August 17 and 18.

Pacer Hasan Mahmud, opener Naim Shiekh, spinner Nayeem Hasan and wicketkeeper-batter Mohidul Islam Ankon who are with T20 team in Australia will also stay for four-day game.
